Along with anal pain, rectal bleeding is often observed. People may feel embarrassed to ask their doctors about anal pain, but this pain is a common symptom of various conditions and is generally treatable.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What Could be the Cause of Anal Pain?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Anal pain can be caused by various factors. Most of the symptoms are minor and can be quickly relieved with treatment. In rare cases, it may be a sign of a more serious condition such as anal cancer.<br \/>\nCommon causes of anal pain include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Anal Abscess:<\/strong> An inflamed area caused by the blockage of anal glands.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Anal Fistula:<\/strong> A small tunnel that forms between an abscess in the anal wall and the surrounding skin of the anal opening.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Anal Fissure:<\/strong> A small tear in the lining of the anus, similar to a paper cut.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hemorrhoids:<\/strong> Swollen veins in the rectum or anus.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Infections:<\/strong> Bacterial or viral infections, including fungal infections and sexually transmitted infections.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inflammatory Bowel Disease:<\/strong> Conditions such as Crohn&#8217;s disease (inflammatory sores in the intestines) or ulcerative colitis (a disease characterized by periodic flare-ups, bloody stools, and tiny ulcers in the colon and rectum).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Levator Ani Syndrome:<\/strong> Spasms and pain in the muscle surrounding the anus.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pelvic Floor Dysfunction:<\/strong> Improper relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles (the bones of the pelvis).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Skin Conditions:<\/strong> Such as psoriasis and warts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anal pain is the discomfort experienced in and around the anus and rectum, which is the terminal part of the digestive system where feces are expelled.
