Rheumatology

Rheumatology is the science that deals with rheumatic inflammatory diseases and other musculoskeletal system diseases. Diseases that cause pain, limitation of movement, and sometimes swelling and deformity in the muscles, bones, joints, and ligaments connecting these structures that enable our body to move are generally called rheumatism.

Depending on the type of rheumatic disease, many different complaints may occur. Rheumatic diseases can also affect internal organs such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, skin, and eyes, apart from the joints.
