Delivery

With the first examination performed when the birth starts in the department and the findings determined in the prenatal period, it is decided which method of delivery will be performed. In the Women’s Health department, normal (vaginal) childbirth, cesarean delivery (with general anesthesia), epidural anesthesia and spinal anesthesia delivery methods are provided. “The Women’s Health department aims to reach high pregnancy and live birth rates in the light of new developments.”
Menopause
The period when the menstrual cycle ends in women is called menopause. During this period, a large number of changes occur in the body. In the first years of menopause, complaints such as hot flushes, sweating, insomnia, irritability, and fatigue are observed, and in the long term, it paves the way for more serious diseases such as osteoporosis, abdominal fat, urinary incontinence, and tendency to heart diseases. For this reason, the menopause period should be taken seriously and preventive measures should be provided with regular controls. In the menopause outpatient clinic of our hospital, women in the menopausal stage are meticulously evaluated and their smear and mammograms are completed, and the risk of osteoporosis is evaluated with the DEXA method, with the support of a dietitian, it helps to prevent metabolism and abdominal fat, weight gain, and also, problems such as urinary incontinence and vaginal dryness, painful sexual intercourse, and sexual reluctance are treated with vaginal laser applications.
Cocmetics Gynecology
In women, the genital lips can have very different shapes and structures from person to person, but in some women, the inner lips (Labia Minora) may be much longer or asymmetrical in structure than they should be. Again, over the years, the genital lips, especially the outer lip (Labia Majora), may lose their volume and have a flabby and irregular appearance. Especially young women complain about the asymmetrical appearance on the vaginal lips, while women in the menopausal stage are unhappy because of the flabby and volumeless appearance. The resulting appearance causes discomfort to a woman in an aesthetic terms, as well as sometimes when wearing tight underwear, swimsuits, bikinis and trousers, it causes discomfort in some sporting events. Labiaplasty is desirable to provide reshaping by removing the sagging, asymmetrical or excessively long external genital area lips with appropriate surgical techniques.
Conditions such as birth, age, menopause, diseases with chronic cough, and constant heavy lifting cause enlargement and sagging in the vaginal tissue. Decreased pelvic floor support with the sagging of the vaginal tissue also causes the urinary bladder to sag. As a result, with coughing and straining, urine starts to leak. (urinary incontinence) Since the patient has difficulty keeping urine, the social and sexual life is also affected. Vaginoplasty (Perineoplasty) is the process of correcting the sagging vaginal tissue with appropriate surgical techniques and at the same time removing the existing complaints by lifting the urinary bladder.
