Composite filling is an aesthetic treatment method used to treat material losses in teeth after trauma, tooth decay, tooth structure abnormalities, and color abnormalities that bother the patient. Aesthetic composite filling can also be done to fill gaps between teeth.
Post-Composite Filling Care
- Do not eat until the numbness wears off.
- Sensitivity or soreness may occur within 1-2 weeks after composite filling. If the pain persists beyond 2 weeks, the filling should be checked.
- The deeper the filling, the longer the sensitivity duration. Sensitivity will gradually decrease on its own with the help of medication placed under the filling.
- Discomfort in the anesthetized area or in the gum area that is injured during the filling procedure may occur for a few days. It will resolve on its own in the following days.
